PAMPER TIME.

I love nothing more than a good pamper session. I pamper myself quite a lot, but once a week I like to do a full head to toe pamper session. Every Friday after a long, dirty, stressful work week I come home and pamper myself. It gives me something to look forward too. I know that come Friday afternoon I am going to be pampered head to toe and feel pretty again. Clean, scrubbed, primped and moisturised. So here are some of my pamper rituals I like to do at least once a week to get my self refreshed, revitalised and ready for the weekend.

HAIR.

For me, when it comes to my hair, its all about the coconut oil. I have naturally thick, curly hair, so coconut oil is the best thing I have found to smooth and nourish my hair. I section off pieces of my hair and run 100% virgin coconut oil through the strands until I have coated it all. I brush it through with a comb and pin up up, leaving it for about a half hour before getting in the shower to shampoo it out. It usually takes two shampoos to get it all out and there is no need to apply conditioner after you have washed it. When I first started doing this I was so surprised by how different my hair felt after the first week. Smoother, less frizz and surprisingly less oily. I don't know who that works, but it does. The kid recently started doing it too because her hair is long and thick but the ends were always dry and frizzy. After a few weeks of doing the coconut oil treatments twice a week her hair is so much smoother and manageable. No more dry dead ends.

FACE.

While my hair is soaking up all the coconutty goodness, I will start on my face. Depending on how my skin is feeling I will do one of two things. I will either put on my favourite clay mask (Currently using: Tea Tree Skin Clearing Clay Mask.) Or I will exfoliate with my Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash and Face Loofa and apply a hydrating tissue mask after showering. If I do a mask I put it on and leave it until I get in the shower where I'll wash it off. I find the best masks are the ***
This is also a good time to tweeze the brows and get ready of any stray, unwanted hairs that snuck up on you during the week. Comb, tweeze and trim those babies into perfection.
To finish off, I usually moisturise my face with my Skinned Saving Grace Facial Oil. This stuff is amazing and smells divine.

BODY.

I am obsessed with exfoliating. I love nothing more than my skin being silky smooth and feeling great. I tend to alternate between two different exfoliation methods depending on how my skin is feeling that day.
1. I use exfoliating gloves paired with my favourite body wash followed by a good slathering of my Palmers Cocoa Butter or,
2. I use the Frank Body - Original Coffee Scrub. Frank has many great and amazing . . . flavours? Scents? I'm not sure what to call them - but the Original Frank Body Scrub is my go to. I love the coffee smell and it leaves my body feeling hydrated thanks to the coconut oil in it.
Added perk - you don't have to moisturise after using a Frank Scrub as the oils in the scrub soak into your skin after you get out of the shower. Just pat yourself dry instead of rubbing (you don't want to rub off all that oil) and you're good to go. You'll have smooth, hydrated, coffee scented skin.

LIPS.

After getting out of the shower I will apply Lucas' Paw Paw Ointment to my lips. I apply a good amount and massage it into my lips until it soaks in completely like you would a body moisturiser. That way my lips stay hydrated, smooth and crack free. Anything that is nourishing and moisturising is a good option. I love doing this before bed especially so I wake up with smooth, hydrated lips.

HANDS & FEET.

I am weird about my hands and feet. I scrub, primp and moisturise my feet almost daily. My mother was a figure skater and she always stressed to me that I needed to take care of my hands and feet and nails. I hate nothing more than the feeling or rough, dry skin on my hands or feet. Nope. Can't do it.
While in the shower I will take a pumice stone and nail brush and clean under my nails and with the pumice stone scrub at any rough patches or skin on my hands or feet. After getting out and drying my skin I apply a healthy amount of my favourite moisturiser to both my hands and feet and ta-da! After I'm dressed and cozy I'll grab all the tools I need to give myself a mani-pedi.  I love nothing more than neat, clean, well groomed nails.

After I shower I will grab a hand scrub. You can get good ones from places like Lush or The Body Shop. I apply a good amount to my hands and rub it in like you would a moisturiser making sure to work it into the skin. Then I rinse it off with some warm water, pat my hands dry and then apply a good amount of moisturiser. I use Palmers Cocoa Butter on my hands as well because its my favourite and it smells divine. And voila! Smooth, lovely smelling, well, everything.
Are you a fan of a good pamper? What are some of your favourite products to use?

Sincerely,

Bella.
